Healthcare Experience Day

The thinkmed team can provide Healthcare Experience Days for your Sixth Form students. We deliver Virtual Ward Rounds, Case Based Learning problems and Ethics + Law discussions in the morning, followed by application advice in the afternoon.

This is perfect for students who are considering applying to Medicine or related subjects. All content is delivered at an A-Level difficulty and provides students with an insight into the life of a Hospital Doctor.

Schedules can be tailored to the needs of the student group.

Student Application Advice Day

We offer half and full-day sessions to support and advise students through their Medical School application. This session provides students with crucial application knowledge, signposts them to key information and resources, as well as introducing them to life as a Medical Student.

A full-day session includes:

  • 1.5hr Personal Statement Masterclass

  • 1.5hr Interview technique session (mock interviews are not part of this package)

  • 1.5hr Admissions test session, with question practice

A half-day session includes your choice of 2 of the above workshops.

Personal statement and interview technique workshops are also very useful for students applying to other healthcare-related subjects.

Mock Interview Day

This session is perfect for consolidating your students’ knowledge and building their confidence following a Student Application Advice Day.

Each student will have a 20 minute interview, with 10 minutes of personalised feedback. These can be tailored to a Panel interview or simulated MMI interview based on their needs.

We use a ‘time'-slot’ system to minimise disruption to the school day.

Designed for UCAS advisors, this session provides crucial advice for staff members supporting students through their university applications.

This session includes advice on supporting students when writing their Personal Statements, interview technique and admissions testing.

The thinkmed team provides an insight into the concepts assessed at Medical School as well as life as a Medical Student.

Day-to-day support for students in their usual learning environment is key for success. Equipping your team with the skills and knowledge to mentor students through the whole application cycle enables them to maximise their potential at every hurdle.
